The Roots of 'Cruz'
The name Caminda di Croes was born from a saying in Papiamento, “caminda di cruz,” meaning a long and hard road to reach your destination. It spoke of endurance, of struggle, and of paths forged through pure determination.
The Journey to 'Croes'
But our journey is different. We have transformed that idea into something brighter, changing “cruz” to our family name, Croes. Now, Caminda di Croes represents our path — one that is full of joy, freedom, and the belief that when you journey with us, it will not be hard to find happiness.

Our journey is one we share with our growing family, who inspire us every step of the way. We’re blessed with five amazing children, and our oldest has even gifted us the joy of becoming grandparents! Each trip is about showing them the freedom that comes from living life on your own terms, building a legacy of exploration and self-sufficiency that will last for generations.

The Spark
It all started with a road trip in a Chrysler 300 from Houston to Las Vegas, a journey that sparked our love for the open road.
Norway Adventure
Our travels took us further into the unknown, like our unforgettable journey to Norway, where the road seemed to stretch on forever across breathtaking landscapes.
Van Life in France
A couple years ago, we embraced van life as we traveled through France, exploring the countryside and deepening our connection to the road.
Festival Freedom
The year after, we ventured to a festival in Spain, where the spirit of freedom and celebration filled the air.
A New Life in Aruba
We welcomed our fifth child with a homebirth in Aruba and made a connection that remains part of our circle.
Ecuador
Our first touchdown in South-America brought us to Ecuador. A country which we fell in love with, especially because of their fresh food and never disappointing 'parrilla'.
Roaming Roots Camper
We continued the journey with our Roaming Roots Camper, sharing the freedom of the open road with others as we explored Switzerland and Italy.
